STUDIO

I love to collaborate and pride myself on my communication skills even while working remotely.

I record violin, viola and backing vocals in my acoustically treated home studio in Toronto. I record via Pro Tools and can send tracks compatible with any DAW. My gear list includes: Apollo Twin X interface, Neumann KM 184 (small diaphragm cardioid condenser Microphone), Aston Spirit (large diaphragm multi-pattern condenser microphone), acoustic 4 and 5 string violins and 6 string electric violin and way too many effects pedals!

I proudly use Universal Audio Plugins

and I love their Unison-enabled preamps.

Please contact me if you’d like to discuss overdubs or custom string arrangements.

Here’s my rig rundown for electric violin.

Laura from Völur is back with an updated rig rundown walking you through her effects pedal chain, discussing how she achieved the tones on Death Cult and her recommendations for electric violin gear for a variety of genres of music.

Testimonials:

“I’ve worked with Laura on several projects of different genres over the past ten years, and have always been amazed by her versatility, her talent in finding counter melodies to contribute to dense music, and her ability to add genuine emotion and beauty to any piece of music. Laura is a very fast worker, and equally adept at collaborating in person or via email. Laura is always the first external musician I wish to bring into a project, and her musical and personal contributions are always valued and embraced by all collaborators.”
